I had a friend of 23 years call and ask me to shoot her brother's wedding. Having known the family for so long I knew I would be at ease around everyone. Thank you M and W for giving me the chance to shoot my first wedding and for making it so fun. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.

Things were crazy for a while... bought a new home, moving, my camera was in repair for 2 months, only to be returned with new problems... like I said crazy. But I have a brand new camera, thanks to the wonderful store manager at our local Ritz Camera Store and I am back to shooting.

I had told my mom that I would attempt to take senior pictures for my brother. I figure this helps her and me out at the same time. These are a few from the session. Hope you enjoy!

Differences

These were taken on our trip to Belle Isle. The burnt down house was in Detroit. The last house, that I think resembles a hotel, is in Grosse Pointe, only one mile down the road. Detroit is of course poor, beaten down and dilapidated. Grosse Pointe is mansions, rich and privileged. The change between the two can be seen in crossing one street. It's mind blowing.

These are all from the conservatory at Belle Isle. The cactus is actually there, all carved up. It's sad, yet kind of cool. It's the first thing you notice when you walk into the Cactus Room. It wasn't until I uploaded them and was editing them that I noticed one of the carvings tells exactly how someone feels about the former mayor of Detroit.
